The idea for transparency is to create a comfortable environment for OCADu students while being able to connect with the working world, in this student working space. The program proposal for the building is to build a connect between students and the professional world. Having transparency can possibly generate an opportunity of a conversation to the pedestrians passing by. The idea of transparency through connection is to link with the street of acknowledged the existence of the building (115 McCaul St). This project consists of four different floors, the idea is to have the floor programs based on dirty to clean. Dirty will consist of workshops leading into the second floor which is a public space with a gallery and third and forth floor will be the private spaces. The office spaces of this building consists of recontacting walls that act as partitions and writable surfaces that creates a dynamic environment.
