Conceptual idea of an hotel located in the core of Toronto. This hotel and retail project is inspired by the idea of nature and growth. The idea of nature is implemented in our designs through each hotel room with it’s own, either a landscape area or a garden area. There is also a community green roof of this idea in which guests can relax and plant. The plants can be a source of organic ingredients which the restaurant in the hotel can use. The roof of the project can be enclosed during winter seasons, which allows it to function year-round. The front facade of the building is slightly covered with panels of copper that would change overtime giving it a natural look. The material of copper being used, is to allow it erode overtime and naturally but at the same time it can be polished to sustain the brand-new look. The retail component of this project is a local plant shop in which the public can purchase plants.
